LogScope Mobile — Versatile WITSML Powered Real-time Borehole Intelligence

Bring rock-physics, petrophysics and borehole imagery to the field. LogScope Mobile delivers the essential LogScope toolset on tablets and laptops with secure, standards-based real-time connectivity using WITSML. Field users, petrophysicists and drilling teams get the same quantitative controls, QC and image-aware interpretation as office users

with the low latency and interoperability WITSML provides.

Key benefits (one glance)

Untitled 2.png
  • Standards-first real-time data: Native WITSML support for live log streaming, trajectories, mudlogs and well events.

  • Field-ready workflows: Offline capture, local QC, and automatic download when a connection is available.

  • Seamless integration: Works with WITSML servers from major vendors — no custom adapters required.

  • Faster decisions: Real-time Rock Mechanics and on-device QC shortens the loop from data acquisition to interpretation.

Core Capabilities

Untitled port.png

1. WITSML Native Data Flow

  • Real-time connection: Connect to WITSML server  to stream  wellbore, trajectory, log, mudlog  and receive updates as they happen.

  • QC and export conditioned logs and image data to DLIS, LAS and CSV.

2. Offline Capture & Reliable Sync

  • Capture high-resolution borehole images, hand annotations, and curated logs offline.

  • Local staging store with integrity checks; automatic reconciliation with WITSML server when online.

3. Borehole Image Support

  • Display and interact with BHI panels.

  • Pick bedding, fractures and breakouts; picks are stored as locally and can be exported as PDF or as digital DLIS, LAS and CSV.

4. Petrophysical & Rock-Physics Tools

  • On-device porosity, saturation and lithology derivations.

  • Instant forward rock mechanics (Vp, Vs, density, impedance) for runs streamed from the rig.

5. Lightweight UX Designed for Versatile Use

  • Touch-friendly plotting, quick-pick tools and preconfigured QC dashboards.

  • Smart presets for common logging tooltypes and acquisition formats.

WITSML — Why it matters for LogScope Mobile

WITSML (Wellsite Information Transfer Standard Markup Language) is the de facto standard for wellsite and rig data interchange.

Integrating WITSML lets LogScope Mobile:

  • Plug into existing data architectures — you don’t have to change the server or rewrite acquisition systems.

  • Share the same single source of truth — updates from the rig, the field, and the office are harmonized.

  • Automate workflows — triggers from WITSML (new log interval, new well event) can launch preconfigured LogScope Mobile templates or alarms.

Example WITSML workflows (typical field scenarios)

A. Real-time logging + on-the-fly QC

  1. Rig acquisition system streams log intervals to the WITSML server.

  2. LogScope Mobile subscribes to the log object and receives segments in real time.

  3. Field engineer reviews curves, applies environmental corrections, runs a quick porosity calculation and accepts or flags the interval.

  4. Accepted, QC-passed intervals are appended to DLIS, LAS or CSV.

B. Borehole image pick

  1. BHI images are streamed  end uploaded/exported  as DLIS files or PDF presentations.

  2. Interpreter picks fractures and bedding on the tablet; picks are interpreted and stored  (dip, azimuth, type) then exported as DLIS, LAS or CSV files and PDF presentation .

  3. Office users immediately can have/see  picks and can import them into the structural/geo model.

C. Triggered modeling & alerts

  • Log based alerts that are time sensitive and advise particular events.
