LogScope Update

We’re pleased to announce the release of LogScope for Windows version 1.48.2. This update focuses on practical improvements that make daily petrophysical workflows faster, more flexible, and better documented.

Whether you’re working with borehole images, sonic data, formation evaluation, or CBM projects, these enhancements are designed to reduce friction and improve the quality of your interpretations.

What’s New in LogScope Windows 1.48.2

• Parameter Group Management Log Analysis parameter groups can now be copied, deleted, and renamed directly in the application. This makes it much easier to maintain, organise, and reuse your analysis templates across projects.

• Improved Cross Section Functionality Cross sections now automatically save existing wells. You can also amend both selected and existing wells within a section without having to rebuild it from scratch — a significant time-saver when iterating on multi-well displays.

• Formation Top Remarks with Audit Trail You can now add remarks to formation tops. Each remark automatically records the user and a timestamp, providing better documentation and traceability for team reviews and project handovers.

• Updated Shading Editor The shading editor (accessed under Edit) has been refreshed with a cleaner grid view, making it easier to visualise and adjust shading parameters during log editing.

• Dynamic Casing Integrity Loading Casing Integrity items are now loaded dynamically when required instead of at startup. This improves application launch performance, especially on larger datasets.

• CBM Log Recomputations New options allow you to recompute RHO, DTC, and DTS logs directly within Coal Bed Methane (CBM) workflows.

• Slowness Line on Waveforms A new tool lets you draw slowness lines directly on waveform displays, supporting faster and more intuitive sonic log analysis.

• TFD Import Enhancement TFD imports now include support for MN orientation data.

• Log Grid in Data View A new Log grid option has been added to the Manage menu in Data View, giving you more flexible ways to browse and manage your well data.

• Bug Fixes & Stability This release also includes multiple minor bug fixes and general performance improvements across the application.
